Tracking & Quick Wins
Tracking
Accurate conversion tracking ensures key visitor actions resulting from paid search are accurately recorded. We audit your existing conversion actions and implement new actions, such as phone number tracking, using native Google Ads conversion tags. Tracking is implemented using a combination of Google Ads and Google Tag Manager. Using native Google Ads conversion tracking, as opposed to imported Google Analytics goals, provides attribution beyond the last click.
Quick Wins
Any quick wins, such as new conversion actions on the website or landing page updates, will also be implemented at this time.

Research & Strategy
Research
Unlike other marketing channels, search is a reactive medium i.e. demand and interest must already exist in order for a search to be triggered. Understanding not only what people search for but, more importantly, what they expect to find helps to unlock the full potential of Google Ads.
Strategy
Our granular account structure ensures a highly relevant keyword to ad match. The result is higher click-through rates (CTR), lower cost-per-click (CPC) and improved Quality Scores. All of which combine to maximise the return on your Google Ads advertising budget.

What is PPC?
Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is a way to jump to the top of search results overnight by placing ads with a search engine such as Google. Unlike SEO, you pay for each click your ad generates. The cost is determined based on a real-time auction with a number of variables including competing advertisers.
-
How can PPC assist my business?
Pay per click advertising is the fastest way to jump to the top of search results. As long as the focus remains on generating a positive return on investment, it's an effective and sustainable way to grow your small business online. Learn more in our guide on How PPC Can Assist Your Business.
-
What we expect from you!
Our goal is for you to consider us as part of your team. This means keeping us aware of what's going on in the business so we can adapt advertising to best meet your objectives. It also means being open to feedback, we're candid with our communication and if we think something is a bad idea (for Google Ads) we'll let you know.
-
Why use PPC?
Pay Per Click advertising works because you only pay when someone clicks your ad which makes it very straightforward to control costs while still delivering results.
While companies compete to bid for PPC ad spots, it’s a transparent process that affords a lot of control. It also delivers fast results that can provide a timely return on investment.
You can use PPC to achieve a range of objectives depending on your goals which makes it a very flexible approach. PPC also offers unrivalled metrics to measure and fully understand your campaign. -
What types of PPC are there?
There are several types of PCC campaigns. They include search advertising, display advertising, social media advertising, and Google Shopping advertising. At Tilious we focus on Google’s search results. This means we specialise in text ads, that often appear at the top of search results, and shopping ads.
Google Shopping Advertising places your products in front of people who are looking for what you sell. This is a great way for an e-commerce website to advertise their products. -
How does a PPC campaign work?
A PPC campaign works only after a lot of planning and preparation. First we discuss your business goals and what you want to achieve from your PPC campaign. We will then devise a strategy to deliver and then exceed those goals.
Depending on those goals, we will come up with keywords, landing pages, search ads and shopping ads and test them internally.
Once launched, we continually monitor and refine all PPC campaigns. We learn what works and what could work better and steadily improve campaign performance as it progresses.
We also provide full, transparent reporting on all activities and provide numerical and percentage improvements to demonstrate we are achieving the goals you set. -
Which is better, PPC or SEO?
There is no ‘better’ between PPC and SEO as they use different approaches to achieve different goals. PPC uses paid ads to deliver instant traffic while SEO uses organic search and a continuous content-driven campaign to deliver longer-term results.
The most effective approach is to combine the two. Use PPC to begin attracting traffic and SEO to begin building longer-term organic traffic. Between the two, you could multiply your website visitors using a coherent strategy that utilises the best of both types of campaign. -
What is the most common form of pay per click advertising?
Google Ads, previously Google AdWords, is the most common form of pay per click PPC advertising. AdWords predominantly use search ads but can also include display ads on partner websites.
Search ads will appear on the search engine results page and will have the small ‘Ad’ mark beside them. These are popular because they can be seen by anyone searching for what you’re offering. They also provide immediate visibility on the searches your target market is typing in. -
How do you report on your PPC results?
We provide detailed reporting on all our PPC campaigns. You should notice our efforts when sales or calls increase but we provide clear, unambiguous evidence of the improvements PPC has brought through a real-time performance dashboard and monthly reports.
We report on the number and percentage increase in traffic, goal completions, transactions and revenue.
Our reports also explain what we have done, what we are doing and what we plan to do next. -
What’s the Google Quality Score and what does it do for me?
The Google Quality Score is a score given by Google that outlines the quality of your ad copy, keywords and landing pages. The higher the score, the more effective Google thinks the campaign will be.
The score uses a scale between 1 and 10 and assesses the click-through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience. The more relevant we make the ads and landing pages to the target keywords, the higher the quality score. The higher the score, the less you have to pay for the click and the more effective the ads should be. -
How much is Google Ads?
Google pay per click uses a bidding system to define prices. Costs vary depending on the popularity of the keywords and the competition vying for the same keyword term.
A typical cost per click is between £0.10 and £3 for Google search ads, but we focus on return so the cost per click is always tied to the return for your business. We set monthly budgets that vary throughout the year depending on seasonality.
On average, our clients see a +60% increase in traffic and +65% increase in revenue from search in the first 12 months.
